World Environment Day: Our Commitment to Sustainability

June 5, 2026

World Environment Day is an important reminder that businesses of all sizes have a role to play in building a more sustainable future. At b4b Group, we recognise that sustainability is not just about large-scale change, but also the everyday decisions businesses make to reduce their environmental impact and operate more responsibly.

We are committed to strengthening our approach to sustainability across the business and are always looking for practical ways to make a positive difference. As part of this commitment, we participated in the Climate Action Programme delivered by Business in the Community Northern Ireland and supported by the Climate Action Pledge. The programme provided valuable insight into how organisations can better understand their environmental impact and identify meaningful actions that support long-term sustainability goals.

We are also proud to operate on a 100% renewable electricity tariff, meaning the electricity used across our offices is sourced from fully renewable providers wherever possible.

Alongside this, we have introduced a range of internal sustainability and environmental policies to help guide our approach as a business and encourage greater awareness across our teams.

Reducing emissions across our operations is another important focus for us. We have adopted an EV-first policy for company vehicles – our fleet is fully electric wherever practical, and hybrid for our engineering teams who have higher mileage demands.

We have also implemented internal recycling initiatives, including WEEE and cardboard recycling processes, helping to reduce waste and ensure materials are disposed of responsibly.

As a technology business, we understand the important role innovation can play in helping organisations become more sustainable, whether through smarter systems, improved efficiency or reducing unnecessary waste. However, we also believe sustainability starts internally, through the operational choices businesses make every day.

While there is always more work to do, World Environment Day is a valuable opportunity to reflect on the progress being made and reaffirm our commitment to continuing that journey in the years ahead.
